Sexual Assault in Correctional Settings
This course, Sexual Assault in Correctional Settings, is intended to support rape crisis center advocates in West Virginia in providing services for victims of sexual assault in correctional facilities operated by West Virginia’s Division for Correction and Rehabilitation (DCR). Rape crisis centers may also receive requests for sexual assault victim advocacy services from inmates and staff from Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facilities in West Virginia. The rape crisis center services focused on are hotline advocacy and hospital accompaniment for sexual assault forensic medical examinations.
